CardioMEMS

Heart failure can be found early.

What is CardioMEMS?

CardioMEMS functions as an alert system for the progression of heart failure disease and can help prevent hospitalization.

It is a wireless pulmonary artery pressure sensor that is implanted in the body and measures the pressure in the pulmonary artery, which is a key factor in hemodynamic congestion.
The device provides real-time notifications to cardiologists of any changes in a patient’s condition, and allows for convenient access to secure data, enabling proactive and personalized patient management.

The sensor is implanted permanently in the distal pulmonary artery using a safe right heart catheterization procedure, and it continuously measures changes in pulmonary artery pressure. The readings from the sensor are wirelessly transmitted to a secure website, allowing clinicians to access and review the data easily.
